iluvtofly 0 #1 February 1, 2008 So I'm currently watching Rocky Horror Picture Show. One of the GREATEST movies there is by the way. But I got to thinking. My first real crush was on David Bowie in the movie Labyrinth. (Approximately age 7 or 8.) Then I was introduced to the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show. At that time my new crush was on Tim Curry as a transvestite. Still to this day at the age of 23 when I watch either of these movies I can feel the crush I had on them comming on again. This might explain why I'm pretty screwed up and all dark and twisty inside. When you think back to your childhood can you think of anything weird about it that describes why you are the way you are today?

I just explained to the new boss that St. Pat's weekend was mine and he can cover for me if somebody's needed that bad-I'm heading to South Georgia!! mamajumps 0 #17 February 1, 2008 Would any of you believe that I have NEVER seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Never had the opportunity to as a youngster and then never think about it now. I would love to see it live tho vs. as a movie! I've heard its very good. But to the OP's original question, yes every decision I have made and everything else I have encountered in my 32 years has made me who I am today. cocheese 0 #18 February 1, 2008 I had a swim class when i was 5 or 6. My mom said "Wait here" and never returned. While looking for her, i somehow ended up in the girl's locker room. It seemed like 100 naked women and their daughters. Still couldn't find my mom. Got ushered out with a red face and big eyes I suppose. And there ya have it. Does that help? I'm seeing a pattern, here.Just kidding - for me, it was seeing the first moon shot in '69 at the age of 4, then Star Wars in the 4th grade. Then, when I was 16, I developed a crush on Marilyn Chambers after seeing "Insatiable." So I'm a perverted geek.T.I.N.S.
waltappel 1 #23 February 1, 2008 QuoteWhen you think back to your childhood can you think of anything weird about it that describes why you are the way you are today? I could write a book on this one! Instead of sticking to *my* experiences, though, I'll focus on some common experiences. Seems to me like anyone who doesn't think the world is a freak show where the clowns are in charge and insanity rules, just isn't paying attention. Parents lie to their children about Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy and wonder why the kids don't believe them when they talk about God. "Make sure you are wearing clean underwear in case you get hit by a truck." Need I say more? Mass destruction and death is not a problem unless it happens close to home. An individual death is almost always tragic, though. God loves you unconditionally but will send your ass to hell if you don't do *exactly* what HE says. Our politicians preach love of country while they screw it every way they can think of if doing so will help meet their lust for money and power. White people cannot be victims of racism. The list is endless. We live in a world where the messages are mixed and the lies are at a very high volume. The result? The longer I live the more confused I get. airdvr 210 #25 February 1, 2008 Age 14, my French teacher and I had an affair that lasted 2 years. Can you say Mary Kay Laturno? I can see now that it was child abuse. Back then I just thought I was extremely lucky. It is however the standard against which I measure a physical relationship. Please don't dent the planet.
