Perhaps afraid to have an intellectual conversation with a person who can't even spell 'intellectual'? Just joshin'...but I am afraid to click on a song link. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
shermanator 4 #4 February 10, 2008 wait, you mean i spelled intellectual wrong? dag nabbit! the link is nothing dangerous. I put it on my webpage from the cd. it is from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas 'When I am laid to Earth' otherwise known as Dido's Lament. I don't know what it is about the piece, but i really enjoy it. thought the context of the song is quite sad.CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #

Zenister 0 #7 February 10, 2008 Two versions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAnQQ4_Jpd8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiUCGO7XzrM Exposition from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dido's_lament tbph you will find such discussions here get buried under the fluff to fast to get much input... I've always wanted a sub forum for more 'serious' artistic/musical/literary discussions with other skydivers but there doesnt seem to be enough interest. Edit: also more insightful titles help immensely.. if for no other reason that its easier for those interested in a topic to find via search when it gets buried sometime monday night..____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. I really enjoyed that second link you posted. wow. .. as for this topic getting lost in the forum, yeah, I kind of figured that it would, but decided to post anyways, that is why I didn't put much thought into the subject.CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #

ACMESkydiver 0 #10 February 10, 2008 Thanks for the additional links. Beautiful. That's one of the reasons that I was so glad when my daughter decided to pick up the cello. It's a beautiful, rich sounding instrument that can convey sorrow so well...but also power and boldness. My daughter's 6th grade orchestra played 'Jack Sparrow' from Pirates III...and even 11 year olds could put out a very powerful performace with their limited ability on cellos and violins... I love to listen to her practice. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
shermanator 4 #11 February 10, 2008 Zen, thank you for the links. ... The chello is a wonderful instrument. very pleasing to the ear. Has a nice warm sound that resonates. mmmmmm. .. but then again, I've always loved the baritone/bass sounding instruments.CLICK HERE! new blog posted 9/21/08 CSA #
