A tandem would probably not be as bad as a student jump b/c lets face it I'm not good at landing with only 14 jumps lol.But I'm on a diet right now to help me lose weight and get back in shape so that maybe that will take some stress off of my knees too (so I wont have to have surgery to replace them...which is what will happen at the rate I'm going). So far I've lost 16pounds. SivaGanesha 2 #14 February 9, 2008 QuoteWhy aren't you jumping? Because I discovered last year that AFF is rather expensive. I want to be able to make a commitment to finishing the course, including the possibility of repeating jumps, before getting back in the air. Right now I owe the IRS back taxes for 2006 and I want to get those squared away before they get too nasty. I expect to have that cleared up about the time the rainy season ends here in CA--plus it looks like I won't owe anything for 2007. Plus the rain here was absolutely relentless in January although I must say we have blue skies today! Bottom line is I expect to be back in the air, and ready to make a serious commitment to this sport for 2008, some time in March."It's hard to have fun at 4-way unless your whole team gets down to the ground safely to do it again!"--Northern California Skydiving League re USPA Safety Day, March 8, 2014

Lastchance 0 #23 February 9, 2008 Surgery was 3 weeks ago. Recovering nicely. Hope to be able to jump in a few more weeks. That is if it ever quits snowing. And work is just a nessecary evil to be able to afford the things that we want to do. I don't have a choice. I still have to pay the bills and afford jump tickets.
