it would be a Bengal.

while Bengal's are beautiful, when i'm in a position to have a cat again it will come from the pound (or a friends litter) where i doubt there will be many Bengals

No Bengals in the pound? You can find even rare and exotic breeds of animals in pounds from time to time...I was on a wait list once upon a time for a Golden Lab. That hybrid is hard to find. Then I started noticing how often the pound is terribly wrong about breed, age, health...pretty much every thing and we decided not to go that route. No dogs for us for awhile.

Edit to add: To stave off the whole 'breeder vs. pound' arguement, the dog we were searching for was to be a disability assistance dog for our sons and questions as to the dog's health, temperament, and background were not going to be tolerable for the intense training it would have to go through. We figured that out early on, fortunately.

I've never seen a Bengal in a pound, but then again I have never looked for one specifically, either. I have seen some pretty pricey breeds of birds too...

-We're allergic in our home anyhoo, so no kittehs for us.

Not even ones that will fly! :o

Base to final she was thinking "I hope the hoo-man doesn't make me move from my nice, warm sunny spot."

As they made it to the ground, she's saying "Again, again!" That's what everyone says when they go on plane rides, right?
