happythoughts 0 #1 February 13, 2008 There have been a few threads on fitness, so I thought I'd toss this one in. This site has fitness competitions for men and women. There is a "figure" portion of the competition, but it is scored like a womens bodybuilding figure competition. The competition is called Tri-Fitness. events 1-Fitness skills - floor routine 2-Fitness events - box jump, bench press, shuttle run. Standing jump onto a 20-in box. Time to do 50 reps. Bench press 60% of your body weight. 50 reps is considered a perfect score. Sprint back and forth with objects. 3-Obstacle course. A 10 foot wall Running Grid Incline/Decline Monkey Bars Balance Beam 15 foot Cargo Net Shuttle Run 2 Low Hurdles Steeple chase jump over water Sprint Under and Over Bar The impressive part? The OC winning times are mostly under 1 minute. The cargo net, wall, and monkey bars are f-in tough. To get a sub-minute time, all obstacles are handled at an all-out run, even the obstacles that test balance. I've been in the gym with these women. They are amazingly strong and agile. With workout gear on, you can't see the muscles. Yep, I'm one of those old guys that they can easily embarrass when they start loading a bar.
