iluvtofly 0 #1 February 17, 2008 So I typically use LimeWire to download music. However lately it won't connect. I downloaded Kazaa and it's doing the same thing. I haven't changed any security settings recently. Any idea why this is happening? What program do you use? (Free preferably)

iluvtofly 0 #4 February 18, 2008 I don't think I download that much that the FBI would be interested in me. I download maybe a couple songs a month. I'm just too poor to buy the cd's. Plus I don't like buying an entire cd for just 1 or 2 songs.
Loonix 0 #5 February 18, 2008 dc++ is the best i've found, if you just want single, even rare, songs. For any more or less popular album, use some torrent client. Neither will work well if the problem is a firewall or similar.

Glipazide 0 #16 February 18, 2008 Sorry. The project was started by members of the Limewire open-source community. Frostwire is a peer-to-peer file sharing program for the Gnutella and BitTorrent protocols. Frostwire is written in Java, and is a fork of Limewire. Close enough?http://sexygirlabs.com/url]
normiss 898 #17 February 18, 2008 Given that the original product Limewire is still available...AND does all those same functions...with Java being the only difference...and therefore NO reason for me to move to the Frost version. I'm unclear as to why they did this...
Glipazide 0 #18 February 18, 2008 I used Limewire for a while. On January 1, 2008, it no longer worked. So I set out to find something like it and Frostwire is what I came up with. Maybe the only difference is the blocking code that was pressured by the RIAA?http://sexygirlabs.com/url]
normiss 898 #19 February 18, 2008 that could be....I didn't realize that had changed...my Limewire still works fine. I hate java based apps...too many effing version issues to keep up with!

I wasn't refering to the thread because she posted in it. I referred to it because so many people thought it was wrong to take a gift card from a customer who didn't want it but it's perfectly ok to download music for free. I find it funny. normiss 898 #23 February 18, 2008 Care to guess how much some of us have paid for music we've never listened to? Or maybe that we already own it in another format? Remember the albums put out in the 80's????
