turtlespeed 226 #29 February 15, 2008 Quote Supply and Demand. Each dealership is only getting a few of these cars this year. They are only making 5,000 of them. Dealers are selling them for what people will pay. I am going to the dealer later today to negotiate on this. I want the car but yes, $15K over MSRP is too high. I already offered $5K over and they said lets talk. The vipers were getting similar premiums when they first came out. Now the biggest question is The Hemi Orange or the Black. Black. bigway 4 #32 February 15, 2008 YEah, well thats business. Shame really as the hemi 6.1 is the only way to go. IF i lived in the states i would be buying one straight away and parking her in the garage for the drives to the dropzone only. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . skybytch 273 #33 February 15, 2008 QuoteWhy? Same reason Mustangs and Camaros were available with 6 cylinders back in the late 60's. They called 'em "secretary" models - all the exterior sexy of a muscle car without the higher insurance rates of the ones with the bigger engines. My "secretary" model '68 Camaro with the 250 straight six and the front bench seat was rarer than a '68 Camaro RS/SS 396. Gawd I wish I still had that car... mnealtx 0 #37 February 15, 2008 Quote MSRP is $40K but with limited production and dealer premiums, Expect to pay between $50K and $60K if you want one this year. You'll get it for dealer price after you spooge all in it during the test drive... Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
