Thanatos340 1 #9 February 15, 2008 Quote too bad it's a Mopar... I was Mopar Born and Bred!! Literally conceived in the backseat of a 1966 Dart GT. My 1971 340 Duster was my first true Love. And now I have my 1966 Belvedere that will one day have the Heart and soul transplanted from the 340 Duster. I never thought I would be able to afford an E-Body. But this one... True to the original Styling and Lines, Updated with modern technology, 425 Horsepower off the show room floor (Just like the original 70/71 Hemi Challengers and Cudas)... (Shiver.. I am getting all excited again just thinking about it) Only making 5,000 of them this year. Dealer premiums are going to be HUGE over the $40K sticker price. My daughter doesn’t REALLY need to go to College does she? I mean I paid my own way... I am sure she will understand when I tell her what I spent her College fund on, Right? Besides, She is cute, She can just land a rich husband anyway. She doesn’t need to waste 4 years in college.
airdvr 210 #10 February 15, 2008 We have a saying in the carbiz...fall in love with the car and you'll marry the profit. Thank god for people just like you who still get excited about cars. You can get all excited about foreign jobs with whiny little 4 and 6's, but there's nothing quite like the feel of a rumbling V8 at your right foot's beck and call. I'm glad to see they kept the orginal's basic lines. It was a hot car then, and it's even hotter now. Please don't dent the planet. slotperfect 7 #11 February 15, 2008 That is one to buy and keep for years, driving only on the most perfect of Sundays, and keeping it lovingly stored in one of those ari inflated bubbles in the garage. Then 30 years from now, when you take it to a car show, people will look at the odometer and the original tires and drool over it.Arrive Safely John
Thanatos340 1 #12 February 15, 2008 MSRP is $40K but with limited production and dealer premiums, Expect to pay between $50K and $60K if you want one this year.

bigway 4 #22 February 15, 2008 I don't understand what you mean by premium. IS that like the dealers fee? I would hope not cause that is way to o much of a commission. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
skybytch 273 #23 February 15, 2008 That's a sweet ride, all right. No way could I have a car that nice. Besides the obvious (I'd lose my license within a year, that car is not meant to go the speed limit) I know some asswipe would run a grocery cart into it before too long. And then I'd have to kill them.

Thanatos340 1 #25 February 15, 2008 Supply and Demand. Each dealership is only getting a few of these cars this year. They are only making 5,000 of them. Dealers are selling them for what people will pay. I am going to the dealer later today to negotiate on this. I want the car but yes, $15K over MSRP is too high. I already offered $5K over and they said lets talk. The vipers were getting similar premiums when they first came out. Now the biggest question is The Hemi Orange or the Black.
