wildfan75 1 #1 February 19, 2008 Can someone help me figure out what the longitude and latitude of an address is? I'm trying to update our dz.com dz listing (I got the map to actually show someplace in Wisconsin (update from showing a remote mountainous area in China) but its still about a hundred miles from where it actually is. I have done web searches galore for a nice simple website that I can enter the address in, click a button and have the info but it seems that there is none (or they don't recognize the dz's address). So long for taking a nice relaxing break from dealing with the beef recall. Address is 6482 County Hwy K, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
ryoder 1,590 #2 February 19, 2008 Plug the address into maps.google.com. The lat/lon will be in the url of the response."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.

flyboyne 1 #6 February 19, 2008 Look it up in the Airport Facility Directory or go online and search for the airport your dropzone is on. It should be listed there already.

howardwhite 6 #10 February 19, 2008 Or Google Earth. The mapping photos for the area suck, but you can cursor around and see the Long/Lat display in the lower left.
AggieDave 6 #11 February 19, 2008 It all depends on which direction south you're looking at when standing at the North Pole. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Mine kept on pointing south. My wife is hotter than your wife.
