DrewEckhardt 0 #26 February 19, 2008 QuoteIt is beyond me why anyone would want to BUY an APARTMENT. Around here, you're either a COMMUTER (given just 6 non-working waking hours, do you want to spend one or two of them in a car instead of home?), RENTER (a nice 1500 square foot, 3-bedroom 2-bath house just went on the market for $1,399,000. Mortage payments and property taxes would run close to $100K/year while house rentals can be found for under $36K/year), or APARTMENT OWNER. In a popular semi-urban to urban settings it's often the least bad option.
Lastchance 0 #27 February 19, 2008 Point taken. I do realize that not everybody has the luxury of having a geographically seperated dwelling. And under the circumstances you described, I would probably be doing the same thing. Man. I bitch about the traffic on my 15 minute commute. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
