There is no law anywhere that states you have to pay taxes on wages for your LABOR.

I would love to see where in the tax code the exemption for "wages for your labor" is specified. I searched, an was unable to find it. I call BULLSHIT!

Yeah well...I have a friend I use to work with in Sandy Eggo that believed that.

He read all the books, went to the seminars and did all the goofy stuff the 'believers' dictate...99 exemptions, file this don't respond to that etc.

He now has to use a fake identity to work...uses cash for everything, has a 7 figure bill with Uncle Sam, will probably never own anything like a house...:S

Something tells me there IS a reason to stay on the governments good side! ;)

Top notch computer programmer that does a lot of contract work...he told me he really can't stay in the same job for more than 6 months or questions start coming up about things not matching up....he has to be really careful, even got tracked down once because of a plane he rented!

Hopefully this isn't a revelation. There is no law anywhere that states you have to pay taxes on wages for your LABOR.

Hopefully this isn't a revelation. The IRS does not care about the law any more than any other government agency in the US. They can and will do whatever they want to extort money wherever they smell money. Your best defense is doing what is reasonable and customary.

Anyone have a number to them where a person answers (yes Im dreaming)?

You sure are. Your nothing more than a number and a $ to the IRS.

Hopefully this isn't a revelation. There is no law anywhere that states you have to pay taxes on wages for your LABOR. Now if you own a business, or have other revenue, that's a different story. It is how ever mandatory that you file, but you do not have to pay taxes for your labor compensation. Basically all you have to do is file, and if you owe $$$ tell them to basically "Drop Dead" when they retort. The IRS operates by fear, and intimidation, threats and the like. They prey upon the worker's ignorance to get them to pay. They send threatning letters, they threaten to place liens on this and that and the other. It's all a bunch of BS.

I've owned, and operated my own businesses for over 25 years, actually i own 4 different entities all together. I pay myself a salary, that i do not pay taxes on. Because i won my own business, everything i buy to operate my businesses is 90% tax deductable ie: ADVERTISING, my work truck, employees vehichles, i get to have two personal vehichles to write off. I pay my taxes quarterly. At the end of the year, if i owe say $25K-$30K, i simply invest in something, or make a "Capitol Improvement" The best thing for everyone to do is research this whole topic, learn what they know and use it to your advantage, within your rights. And employ a really good CPA!

Good Luck!

Good Luck indeed, here is to hoping you escape notice....
