smoke and mirrors

This is my after action report from my previous post of being picked up for the new Paul Greengrass movie. More info available on request.

I recently got back from shooting in Spain for Matt Damons new movie and leaned what goes on by being a part of it.....all I can say is "smoke and mirrors". Interesting learning experience and what a nice paycheck (plus my military paycheck) to start off the year. I hada wonderful time, got lots of screen time in, and recomend it to anyone interested in the big screen. I have no delusions of becoming a "real" actor, but what a great experience to be part of a blockbuster movie, hang out with the stars, and be treated like one of them for three weeks. As stated above....the pay was great too.

CONS: I cant look at another movie the same. Now that I'm aware of how much "post production" is done and whats actually fake (most is fake), or what people...ie, military advisors....do to get the job (one word - BULLSHIT) some of the "movie magic" has been taken away. Of course I still enjoy watching them and again, loved being a part of one. Now lets hope the damn thing doesnt suck. LOL
