Umm...as i said earlier in this thread, if i ever hit a guy, then yes he has a right to hit me back. Nowhere did i ever say i want all the things you listed. and i never said it's ok for a girl to hit a guy, but then not have him hit back.
And for the record i have no desire to be in the military and i don't vote. And i'm just peachy fine with opening my own doors, though i do think it's polite to hold it open for the person walking in behind me.

Unless Dan has changed since I met him, he's a perfect gentleman. I met him at SkyFest and crashed in his hotel room. I was injured (my knee) and he offered to give me the bed and sleep on the floor. And he would have. I told him that he could sleep on the bed - and snuggle. (Hell...he's a hot number and a snuggler. I wasn't going to complain.) Not once did he touch any place or make a move on me. He was a total and perfect gentleman.
Yes, Dan's got a tendency to let his ego talk at times and does have a tendency to make jokes that most people who haven't met him don't catch, but he was a total gentleman and I have to defend him on that one.
As to Sunny's question, I've been in a situation where I was hit. I chose to leave because it was either that or one of us ended up dead one day - and it sure as hell wasn't going to be me.
A man (or woman) who hits their partner/SO should be left without question. It doesn't matter if the individual doing the hitting was drunk/high/sober/whatever, if it happened once, it'll happen again.

I've been hit in a very mean and nasty way, and I've been "bitch-slapped" to get my attention. I'm still grateful for the guy who decided it might be a good idea to bitch slap me and wake my ass up. Not that it's really held, but it was a nice gesture.

A perfect gentleman doesn't make the posts about his conquests that he makes.
He wouldn't need you to defend him if he didn't make posts bragging about all the women he sleeps with.
I personally don't have anything against him. I think he's all harmless bravado. But I would hardly sing his praises, based upon one post in this thread, about how he knows the importance of behaving like a gentleman.
But then again, I am under no illusions that it matters what I think.
Just speaking for myself, and it may apply to others-you may be shocked if you met me by how different I can be from my posting persona. Because it is, by and large, a character that i put on when on message boards such as this. It's an execise in a certain style of creativity that I don't exhibit in other aspects of my life. Not that I can't be a real-world jackass some times, but it's not as likely to show.

Having been drunk and upset a few of times. I've never hit anyone. Even when drunk, I can still be in control of my fists. My mouth and penis... not so much.
Drinking doesn't give you new thoughts or ideas, it just lowers your inhibitions about acting on or saying them.
