sharimcm 0 #1 February 27, 2008 I brought some Lean Pockets to work today to indulge in their tasty goodness, but I'm leaning towards going to Taco Bell instead. What are YOU having for lunch? Anything as tasty as a quesadilla and a crunchy taco? AggieDave 6 #2 February 27, 2008 Yup, Freebirds is even more tastee. For me, I'm going with tomato soup and a nice grilled cheese. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Unstable 9 #3 February 27, 2008 Sheesh, I don't know. I have about a 20 minute gap of time, between meetings and classes. I just paid off the CC, so I can afford to zap by something quick or I can run home, grab a turkey sammich at Mach speed, and zap back to campus. Hmm, I'm thinking Panda Express might be a better idea, although not in accordance with my spring weight-loss goals... =========Shaun ==========

PLFXpert 0 #11 February 27, 2008 Again, my favorite salad. (The following makes two to three servings.) One bag spinach Four freshly chopped garlic cloves A bunch of roasted red bell peppers A bunch of banana peppers A few green peppers Several black olives Canola oil (not sure exactly how much, probably 1/2 cup?) Mmmm. I snack more than eat meals so this would be my around-lunch-time snack. A little later-lunch-time snack is usually baby carrots & roasted red pepper hummus or an avacado or a handful of pistachios. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. PLFXpert 0 #13 February 27, 2008 Yes, garlic is awesome! And peppers, too! You'd be surprised what some roasted red bells & banana peppers can do. Also, try lemons & limes as seasoning. All of the above foods are not only delicious, but have major health benefits including maintaining a healthy weight. I like to grow peppers for fun. Mostly the kind we use come from the Fresh Market, but those couple times a year when we're able to eat the home-grown ones are fun. I encourage everyone to research the many benefits of peppers. It's so easy to include them in your diet, and--let's face it--I look way cool when taking a big bite of a habenero and not flinching. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. PLFXpert 0 #14 February 27, 2008 P.S. I like to eat raw garlic, too. Every once in a while it gets me, but most of the time it's just pure deliciousness. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
AggieDave 6 #15 February 27, 2008 Raw garlic not so much, but peppered pickled garlic is worst then the best candy. Its so hard to just eat a couple.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
PLFXpert 0 #16 February 27, 2008 I'll give it a try. But, I find even plain roasted garlic is not nearly as tasty as raw.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

sharimcm 0 #18 February 27, 2008 I'm not a big pepper fan. I LOVE spicy foods, but I never got the 'taste' for peppers. I do use some peppers for seasoning things such as jalapeno and serranos. Oh, and fresh cracked peppercorn is the shit! That along with garlic on almost any dish will make my mouth water! Mmmmm.... Damnit. Now I'm hungry again. PLFXpert 0 #19 February 27, 2008 I use peppers almost exclusively "in stuff", too, silly. I meant you'd be surprised what they can do to spice up & add a ton of flavor to a salad or a vegetable mix instead of things like meat & cheese. I don't snack on peppers alone, but I do like to take a bite when they're fresh off my own plant. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
