wmw999 2,558 #176 February 27, 2008 Dude, don't get your knickers in a twist. If you can be postulating "thought experiments" that include suing moderators into bankruptcy, then you should be able to take someone giving their opinion of your post. If it were a personal attack, it'd be removed. Of course, if it were a personal attach against you, that might be OK with you. But just because you consider someone saying that your post is a challenge doesn't make it a personal attack. They can say whatever they like about your post -- it's you they can't call names. Yes, you see that sometimes. It only works when they know it's people who like each other and say that all the time anyway. I'm not sure you'd get the benefit of the doubt right now. This is Sangiro's house. He could kick someone out just for disagreeing with him, but he generally doesn't. It takes serious dickery () as a rule, or specifically doing something that you were asked not to. If I ask you not to pee in my front yard and then you do it, I'll probably kick you off my property, even if you haven't actually damaged anything. And even if I do it in my own back yard when I want to. It's my fucking house. (note -- that was just an example -- I don't pee in my back yard ) Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. MikeMcLean 0 #178 February 27, 2008 No need to warn; I responded in a adult manner with no moderator / nanny intervention required. Interesting how that can work, huh?It wouldn't hurt you to think like a fucking serial killer every once in a while - just for the sake of prevention

Well, Bill, you do know how much those retainers are. Maybe we could start a mass tort lawfirm and sue all the DZ.Commers for their part in this thread. Ooooh, Ooooh, wait maybe we can include rock climbing.com too and maybe any others - We'll just sue them all!I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

I wasn't / haven't been challenging anyone; I consider that a personal attack and I ask that you please refrain from that type of commentary. Struck a nerve, did I? My apologies if you read something into that comment.'Shell
Zenister 0 #183 February 28, 2008 QuoteQuoteQuoteI wasn't talking about other forums here. Maybe I should have said "message boards". That's what I understood. So can you name some other message boards you use? I'd love to see what their rules look like and maybe chat to their admins to find out how they do it. I'd prefer not to name them actually. We don't really have any rules over there, it's basically anything goes, enter and post at your own risk. http://forums.somethingawful.com/ no doubt. which is quite a lot of fun at times, but not anything I'd care to have Dropzone.com turn into. Everything has its place. This place is (mostly) about skydiving...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
