RALFFERS 0 #1 March 2, 2008 Is anybody else going to be watching this Discovery Channel special? I remember being at the exhibit when it first came to one of Chicago's museums. Although the whole thing was controversial (but I still don't understand why this was so ) it was a great experience & very interesting, to say the least - & equally informative. That was quite a number of years ago - & now a TV special has been made. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm a bit of a science buff & have a particular fascination of the workings, as well as the complexity of the human body. I'm very much looking forward to watching this tonight - anyone else?Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

Body Worlds is coming back to LA this spring. Very impressive display full of mind blowing separation of systems. My favorite was the complete circulatory system, by itself, still held in body shape. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It helps explain what they are seeing when they go from display to display. Just checked on-line and I can get an IMAX show before the exhibit for about $5 a person when I purchase the tickets to the exhibit. Sounds like a really cool way to spend several hours with the rug-rats! I'll just have to poll the masses to see what IMAX show they want to see! Of course, Auntie is the deciding vote should there be the need for a tie-breaker! 'Shell

Cashmanimal 0 #19 March 3, 2008 BOdy Worlds just left here a couple months ago. There was one night when all college students got in free, and when we showed up they issued us tickets but there were so many people that we were not admitted until almost 3 hours later. We went and got some food and hung out before we came back and it was completely worth it. I would happily pay a reasonable amount of money to see it, for sure. The last night it was in town the exhibit was running for 24 hours. They really put on a nice little show. It's all fun and until someone loses an eye... then it's just a game to find the eye

And that includes admission to the exhibit, to all their permanent galleries, the star theatre and their science demonstrations. Add $5 to see a 45 minute or so IMAX show. I think that's pretty good value. 'Shell
