I can't play craps legally where I live, on or offline. Craps is legal in many parts of the US. This is oppression since craps is the only game I want to play in a casino.

It was already said that the ban on online gambling is about controlling the revenues. My argument is with bigway's assertion that the meaning of the word "free" to most Americans is that we should able to do whatever we want with our money.

Because if that is indeed what the majority of Americans feel that it means, libertarian political ideology would be much more popular in the US than it is.

Actually what was said is that Washington once again caved into a special interest Lobbyist group. The really sad about this is that the Law we are discussing was actually part of an Anti-Terrorism Bill.

The B&M (Traditional Brick & Mortar) Casinos spent Millions getting this legislation rail roaded through congress because they saw online gambling (Poker in particular) as a HUGE threat to their revenue.

This has noting to do with any Ideology other than He who has the most money to buy congress with Wins.

I have been giving alot of thought as to what you have said about the word 'free'.
I realise you are correct and that i was ignorant or even stupid to think it meant more than what you have said in the phrase relating to a country.

In other words it means 'free' from dictatorship.
