Because it's publicity about skydiving and it's not talking about a fatal accident. At no point during the video did they mention someone getting hurt or dying.

He called me on the way to this jump, he was extremely excited. He and I have been good pals for some time now. Funny thing is, I was there for his most recent skydive, which was in... July? Anyway, he took the BASE training course, hasn't jumped out of a plane since.

I attached some photos I took on the last jump we made together (which I might add was his... 40th or so).

If you ever get a chance to meet this guy, don't pass it up. And don't let the TV interviews fool you... he's simply out of control. And French.

I love you Frenchy, if you ever read this.

It's all fun and until someone loses an eye... then it's just a game to find the eye

True but most of the public out there might see that and think of skydiving. How many whuffos actually know the difference between base jumping and skydiving?

Everyone knows the difference between skydiving and BASE jumping. What makes you think that people who dont skydive dont know the difference?

I had never heard of the term base jumping before I started skydiving. I knew that people jumped off of buildings and such but I just called it skydiving. I didn't know there was such a huge difference between the two.
