vpozzoli 0 #2 March 5, 2008 Nice rotor burst! Winds have been really acting up in most of Europe this past week, but at least I got to soar in wave to 18,000 feet last Sunday so who's complaining? Ciao, Vale

Yep, 18,000 feet right in front of Mt. Blanc. My knees are still shaking (and not just from the sub-arctic temperatures ). I'm still cursing myself for not having taken my compact camera with me. The wind at that altitude was just brutal, close to 100 MPH. I couldn't figure out why pulling further on the stick caused the GPS to show an increase in ground speed. It took me a while to figure out that I was fricking flying backwards!! Ciao, Vale
