kschilk 0 #4 March 5, 2008 One of their "pillars of flame" was just to my left....I could really feel the heat but didn't think much of it. When we came out from the concert, my friends started laughing hysterically....when we got to the car, I looked in the mirror. I freakin' looked like Braveheart! The entire left side of my face and left arm were beet-red but my right side was white....stayed that way for almost a week. Helluva' deal, for twelve bucks!"T'was ever thus." wildfan75 1 #6 March 5, 2008 I am incrediably jealous!!!! I was too young for their concerts "back in the day" but did go and see the first two rounds of their reunion tours (with full make up). They put on an awesome concert! And it was truely and honor to see all four original members of KISS (Ace, Gene, Paul and Peter).
DavidB 0 #7 March 5, 2008 Saw them in '75 at the Wildwood (NJ) convention center (think: high school gym). My ears RANG for 3 days afterwards. Saw them again at the TLA in Philly about a year later. Then they got "popular" & I lost interest. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
Lastchance 0 #8 March 5, 2008 I saw them in 1977. Uriah Heap was the warm up band. I still have the ticket stub (Along with all others) and the ticket cost me $12.00. Sure a far cry from 200. I didn't even know that they were still performing, Have fun, I wish I was going. Oh yes, I have snapshots of that show taken from 3 rows back with a 110 kodak camera. Gene puking blood and blowing fire. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

Lastchance 0 #11 March 6, 2008 Gotta love Demons and Wizards. I was a Uriah Heap fan myself. I had only been listening to them for about a yr before I seen the show. It was one to remember. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
kschilk 0 #12 March 6, 2008 Awww yeah...and Salisbury, Look At Yourself, Magician's Birthday and LIVE! I kinda' lost interest in 'em, after Gary Thain died (I think Sweet Freedom was his last) but when I started pickin' up guitar, The Wizard was the first song I learned. "T'was ever thus." Andrewwhyte 1 #13 March 6, 2008 First concert I ever went to was on the Kiss Alive tour in '75. Yeah I still remember the show. They knew what business they were in: ENTERTAINMENT! Never got to see Uriah Heap. I just re-bought Demons and Wizards a few months ago.
kschilk 0 #14 March 6, 2008 It kinda' ruined it for me, my first concert bein' Kiss. I've seen a lot of great bands since and plenty of them had awesome shows....but nothing that compared to Kiss. After them, I was just going to concerts for the music. ....an' I just now realized how rediculous that sounds. "T'was ever thus."

My first concert was Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods (Billy, Don't Be a Hero) and KISS was a few weeks later in 1975. I've seen KISS at least 100 times both in front and back. Member of the Army, and flew to Oz to see them with the Melbourne Symphony. No one ever, has put on a show like KISS. I've seen BonJovi and Garth Brooks on the KISS stages that they bought from KISS, and their shows suck by comparitive energy and equal gear. KISS may not be the best musical band in the world, but they sure as hell defined rock n' roll. But Psycho Circus still sucked.
Lastchance 0 #16 March 6, 2008 Bo Donaldson. Holy cow that goes back a ways. I have Billy Don't be a Hero on a couple of 70's compilation cd's and at one time I had the 45. Do you remember Paper Lace, The Night Chicago Died? You are right about KISS not being the greatest musical band in the world but boy did they ever put on one hell of a stage show. The only band that I ever seen that came close to or maybe even surpased them would have to be Alice Cooper. That was one incredible show. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands. Just did a shoot with him last week in PHX, he's a seriously gifted golfer. He still looks, acts, sounds like a rocker, too. Yes, I remember The Night Chicago Died and Paper Lace, but now we're dating ourselves in a bad way.
Lastchance 0 #18 March 6, 2008 The first concert I ever seen was Blue Oyster Cult in the summer of 76 with the original Lazer Light show. I was totally in awe. I had never seen anything like it before. It was also my first experience with Galliano. Can you say shitfaced? I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands. Lastchance 0 #19 March 6, 2008 Must have been a treat to meet Alice. And yes I remember Kiss mixing blood with the ink. What a great gimmick that was. I was part of the Army also. I wish I still had all the paraphenalia that I once had but I gave it all to my brother when I moved out of the house and who knows what happened to it all. In that collection I had an original black and white Easy Riders poster with the red, white and blue helmet and tank. I hear that poster is worth quite a bit these days. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
