. . . that you have experianced someone lying to you about?

Mine - Cancer . . . one of the guys that I was working with feigned cancer as he was trying to cover up his alcohol abuse problem. If there is a top 10 list of things in this world that shouldn't be lied about I would vote cancer as #1.

Someone that is related by marriage claimed that an ex tried to murder her and my nieces by cutting the brake lines in her SUV, causing it to careen down a hill and end up wrecked, and that is why she didn't have the SUV any more.

Truth is it was repossessed.

Then same person claimed that a student of hers stabbed her, breaking her wrist.

Truth was she fell down roller skating.

I got a million of 'em...:D

I think I should win this contest! B|:P

Actually I guess it doesn't count because she lied to other people, not thinking that I'd find out. Only problem is they were my friends she lied to -one while I was on the other phone listening to the conversation. -She's not that intelligent. :D:D:D

A coe-worker once told me he had an IQ of 160. I tried hard not to laugh. Then I asked him if he knew what percentage of people had an IQ this high. He said "I know its very few only like 5% of the population." Then I corrected him and told him it was more like 1 in 11,000. And instead of saying ok I confess I am full of sh*$, he said, "yeah I know, that is why I don't tell people, I don't want them to think I am bragging".

The thing that gets to me about this guy is that he really is very smart. But clearly he doesn't know anything about IQ scores, so why would he feel the need to make up a story about an IQ test that obviously never happened. Why the insecurity?

It doesn't get much worse than that. Good thing nobody here would do that.

The more I think about this the more it just seems frustrating.

He has three kids - I mean - what kind of parent would do this? I wonder if he lied to his kids about it too?

He just wasn't into you.

Don

Oh - but he was - he was into me for aboput 12 thousand dollars - wanted to get paid and in advance - he lost a job because he didn't show up - just like he did on one of my projects.

He now has several lawsuits against him for various things.

My point is: What kind of a person would do that?
My conclusion is: One that might just need to be Darwin'd out of existance.

---------------------------------------------------------

About 4 percent of the population is gifted, IQ above 130, The population is growing rapidly so this statement depending on when he was tested could be somewhat accurate.
Depends on which test he took and at what age.
I have been tested 3 times in my life and the scores varied dramatically each time.
IQ160 yes less then 1 percent, but many people will take these online iq tests and think those are accurate scores and they are not even close.
Average IQ test takes about 6-8 hours including the written and oral testing phases and usaully done over 2 days.
There are 200 standard tests used in the united states, of which a 100 score is average and 130 is gifted, above 144 is genius, but every test varies and even mensa accepts a varied score for admission depending on the test taken.

I have been tested three times over my lifetime and the score was always within the 125-135 range. Of course, that might be hard to believe based on my post history on here, but that's the range I scored in.

I dunno man, to me that's pretty benign.

I can think of things FAR worse. At least some asshat lying to you about cancer really doesn't affect the rest of your life.
