NWFlyer 2 #26 March 11, 2008 Quote 35 jumps and your still jumping a 210? I only have 36 and I jump a pilot 168. I have over 300 and I'm still jumping a 210. I guess I'll quit right now because of what you just said. No, actually I won't. I'm leaving for Z-Hills tonight and I'm going to enjoy jumping this weekend. From what Skymama said, you won't be. And in response to the original poster - I've loaned out my rig before - usually for a jump or two here or there, because it's my one and only rig and I'm busy jumping it myself. But you may find people who have spares that are willing to loan them out for a longer term. Beer or a bottle of choice is a good way to repay them, and getting the rig back to them in the condition it came to you is of course the right thing to do (brush off the dirt if you have some bad landings, if it needs a repack during the time you borrow it, get the repack done.) A cool thing to do if it's due for a repack shortly after you borrow it would be to find out who the owner's rigger is and make arrangements with the rigger to cover the cost of that repack."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. In fact right now i don't have a reserve that will fit my container, so a very good friend is letting me use his spare container and reserve til i get my rig put back together. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! LongWayToFall 0 #32 March 12, 2008 Pilot 168 huh??? That is a sweet idea. You know, they have a 150 on the rental rack, why don't I one up you? hahahaha. No, 210 is plenty small for me, I have flown a 190 before and unless there is a pretty fair breeze it would be a handful. Well I jumped today, and asked a couple people but it seems as though if they loaned me a rig and the DZO found out, it would look bad upon myself and the loaner, so nobody has been willing. A couple good points have been made regarding the responsibility of caring for another person's rig, and I agree it is certainly a big deal. Maybe I should just cut back on the jumps, and finish buying my own gear. I am a main, aad, and 1 1/2 month wait away from jumping my own stuff! woo! Thanks for the help guys
