BillyVance 35 #2 March 12, 2008 Kind of broad there, but I do have an old shoulder injury which I'm pretty sure is going to become arthritis sooner than the rest of my joints - doing a night jump pulling a 4 way chunk off the otter, we funnel it and in a desperate attempt to hold it together, I wrenched my right shoulder back. One other guy did the same thing. We managed to hold it together and get stable, to the relief of the cameraman... I'd bet there's some cartilage damage in there, but it hardly hurts anymore, and it was 5 years ago."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

happythoughts 0 #5 March 12, 2008 One of the most common injuries is being in the first rows of divers. The person on the tail side of the door gets slammed into the door frame. Always remind the front-side diver to go straight out. Another problem is piece launches that don't go well. People don't let go and it torques the shoulder. Rig fit. The harness is loose and deployment yanks on the shoulders. Use the chest strap to position the stress over the body, not the rotator cuff.
