MNM604 0 #13 March 18, 2008 More of a visual comic, but still very close to the top of the list.... **Andy Kaufman**. For radio .... Of course Richard Pyror, Sam Kinison (absolutely), and Mitch Hedberg was pretty good too.... Sad that they are all gone.

lawrocket 3 #15 March 18, 2008 In the past: Sam Kinison was my all time favorite. Richard Pryor - changed the comedy landscape Bill Cosby (He was funny when I was young. Now I'm a parent and he's a riot. Y'all - rent Bill Cosby's "Himself.") Rodney Dangerfield - he changed the comedy landscape. Some present day guys that I'm pretty fond of are Dave Attel and Robert Schimmel. My wife is hotter than your wife.

Shotgun 1 #17 March 18, 2008 QuoteA couple of obscure ones that you may never have heard of; Steven Wright . . . Steven Wright is definitely funny, but I would hardly consider him to be obscure. One of my favorite comedians is Ron White. Can't think of many others that I currently like.
Thanatos340 1 #18 March 18, 2008 Richard Pryor was KING in his prime.. But before him was Redd Foxx. His older Stand up stuff was great. Robin Williams Stand up is also Classic. I can only imagine what it would have been like to Hit the town with Him and Belushi during their heyday. The original Gallagher routines were great the first few time I saw them. When Dice first came out it was funny for a few minutes.. The first time you heard it anyway. Penn & Teller are probably my favorites that are still performing. masterblaster72 0 #24 March 18, 2008 QuoteDefinitely not Dane Cook, though. That guy is not even close to being funny. It must be a generational thing -- I know people in their early 20's that find Dane Cook hilarious. I watch him and also find him to be completely un-funny (though I do credit him for being a fine public speaker). I suppose humor changes over time. Makes me feel old. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
