happythoughts 0 #6 March 20, 2008 When you hear the live recording of Locomotive Breath, you can hear him make a "HUUUUP" sound as he gulps air at one point. JT was an oddity. A flute player and violin player were central musicians. A few of their songs were about madness.

jimmytavino 16 #15 March 20, 2008 Great album.... interesting lyrics..... saw Jethro Tull live, twice... absolutely great music..... ALL their work... many of the more obscure tracks, have become favorites... Living in the Past double album , Thick as a brick, one song both sides of the LP.Aqualung, L Breath , Cross eyed mary..... They did some nice acoustic rock, as well...."lifes a long song"... I got a two disc set a while ago....play the hell out of it.... and in fact , Ian A. is in the cassette player of my work truck, as we speak..... Always liked the sound of the flute... especially when it is incorporated into rock music... Ray Thomas is good too. But Jethro Tull is my favorite now please excuse me, i'll be off,,, 'sitting on a park bench'..........but without...... any "bad intent" jimmy tull

DavidB 0 #18 March 21, 2008 I'm so old I had Aqualung on quadraphonic 8-track! Tull is very cool. I watched a bunch of their stuff on Youtube a couple weeks ago, both old & new. Ian Anderson still has it!When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
