Six miles of hiking over two days of car camping. Showed up at the dz hoping to make the sunset load this afternoon but then we decided not to.

It was almost a perfect weekend.

Did 1 WS jump on Saturday then went to a jumper's house warming party. Very good time.

Byron had PD demos, so took advantage of that on Sunday. Last jump of the day was #700. And it ended up being a reserve ride.

And man did I love how that demo Optimum reserve opened and flew as my main.

Jumped through some sleet on Saturday when we couldn't get to altitude but it was not hitting the ground. Sunday was still Kansas cold but the sky was much friendlier.

MMMm it feels so good to be in the air again. hadn't jumped since November, and I was better than I thought I would.

It wasn't as cold as i thought it would be. It was awesome.

The Thai Sky Festival was awesome. I haven't owed that much beer ever! Vskydiver and I are still jet lagged as hell, but man, we had a great time.

We took our crew down to Freefall Express in Mt. Vernon, MO this week to play with the Cal city Otter. I made 10 jumps - 8 from the Otter and 2 from their beefy Cessna. What a weekend!
