goofyjumper 0 #1 March 25, 2008 I am very dissapointed in Delta. I purchased 50,000 skymiles and gave it to my in-laws for when they come back to the states. Well, it ended up that they got a cheaper flight and booked it through another airline. So they told me that they would transfer the skymiles back to my account. Well it costs them .01 cent a mile to transfer. So not only do I have to pay the taxes I have to pay for the transer itself! I ended up paying about $360 extra just for this great thing called miles! I paid almost $900 just for the miles themselves. i looked on expedia and a roundtrip ticket from Atlanta to Manchester, England was only $799 total. Can someone tell me how getting the skymiles mileage is a better deal? I am so pissed right now!----------------- I love and Miss you so much Honey! Thanatos340 1 #2 March 25, 2008 Buying skymiles is almost always a a bad idea. You could just have Mum keep the miles in thier account and they could Purchase YOU a Ticket with those skymiles whenever you wanted to go somewhere and save the transfer fees. Does that make sense?
