happythoughts 0 #1 March 24, 2008 This weekend, we spent some time celebrating the 75th birthday of a local skydiver, with dinner and a band last night. Steve is a well known local who comes out to the dz with his wife. He is known best for his sense of humor. We also did a jump to celebrate his 50th year of skydiving. According to Jerry Bird, Steve was one of the first skydivers that he met in Germany. They have been friends for a long time and Jerry came out to organize his jump. You just have to sit there and think about amazing things like 50 years of life. I don't think my body can hold out that long, only 35 more years to go... but I'll be happy to make it to my 50th birthday. It's one of those things where you are not a skydiver, but a person who skydives. Steve has done a lot and has many interests. That makes him interesting as a person. I don't know how long I will be able to skydive, but I want to continue to have new experiences. We have a guy who can find just about anything, but a helmet is pretty small.
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
