pilotdave 0 #6 March 27, 2008 I assume that site is BS, since it shows a bunch of felons in my area living in the middle of a river. Others live on highways, and one lives where I work. Dave

iluvtofly 0 #8 March 27, 2008 One thing that I do find interesting though is that there is a juvenile correctional facility here in town. And that site doesn't even list it's existence. I know they're probably protected because they're minors. But I know that just yesterday a bunch of them escaped (It's minimum security for the most part) and there was a large advisory out for several hours warning people to be weary of teenage kids in their neighborhood that they didn't know and to not leave your cars unlocked. They eventually were all rounded up and put into the maximum security part of the complex. I know that at least some of the kids there were convicted of federal crimes. (There are rumors that some of them are guilty of murder and are only there because of good behavior but I find that hard to believe).

Smile Dave Well I know from working with mapping systems at work that they aren't always correct. I know that on the mapping system we use at work sometimes the numbers are on the wrong end of the road compared to where they are in real life. Also, if you look up say my bosses home address it says he lives in the middle of the woods. So although they're location maybe slightly off they may still be in that general area. wildfan75 1 #10 March 27, 2008 I'm going to have to call bullshit on this website. I ran my home address only to find out that there is a convicted felon living in the middle of the lake closest to my house. I also ran my old address which was in south Minneapolis. Total Ghetto! Major crime area. There was an undercover cop shot less than 1/2 block from my old house. There were almost no felons listed. Totally bogus. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a map error so I ran the dz address. Turns out we have a 17 year old convicted burglar living on the dz. Total BS. I know both people living in hangers at the dz, and neither of them are Larry Wagner and neither of them are even close to being 17 (sorry hon!). Turns out I should just checked here first... http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/felonspy.asp

That and the charges don't exist. Literally every one that I looked up in my area all had convictions that sounded legit if the only thing you know about law comes from Law & Order, CSI and JAG. Which is 90% of the population.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

SkydiveJack 1 #19 March 27, 2008 The site is BS. I put in my address several times and each time it came out completely different. Maybe they are mining addresses?
MikeJD 0 #20 March 27, 2008 I really wouldn't submit anything to that site. Like I said, check out the sponsor links: 'Free Legal Help For Bad People', 'Home Loans for Felons', 'Get Unlimited Credit Cards', 'Earn Money From Jail'. Hopefully that's an indication that it's just a joke site, but at worst it's malicious or some kind of marketing scam.

BillyVance 35 #23 March 27, 2008 I did a check for my town using just the street name I live on. There are three felons out on the lake within a mile! What the fuck?!? I dunno if this site is for real or not, but maybe it's got its gps or mapping coordinates fucked up or off by a certain amount. I would have to get the phone book out and look up some of the names and see. chaoskitty 0 #24 March 27, 2008 Something collects addresses.. I put in another street in my grandmother's neighborhood, and there was a hit on her house for someone named Enrique, with her last name. As far as I know, I don't have a "Grandpa Enrique". Unless my grandmother hooked up with the pool boy.
