jtval 0 #27 March 27, 2008 Well, MM 10 doesn't work. I keep getting the same thing I've been getting. I click on it and the pop-up says. "MM program has been update would you like to restart?" And it just keeps saying that.So I'll try 9 now and hope something works. BTW- I DID delete yahoo 1st. Then, after the first restart I went regedit and deleted my yahoo folder. No luck My photos My Videos
jtval 0 #28 March 27, 2008 9 Doesnt work either. It actually opens the program, though, but it won't import the music. It shuts down instead.THanks for letting me d/l the files though. My photos My Videos
Bolas 5 #29 March 28, 2008 Check and see if there is another registry key called MusicMatch or whatever the company used to e called. Long after companies change names and/or merge the registry entries and pointers use the old names. Once you've totally unistalled the old program and deleted the reg entries, try again. A google search for manually uninstall musicmatch came up with this: http://forums.techguy.org/all-other-software/515467-solved-error-message-runtime-error.html Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. jtval 0 #30 March 28, 2008 Thanks for the help. I did delted all the stuff from my reg except the items that would not allow it. I have no idea why thats even in there It looks like MM9 but I deleted everything from all other files. I even deleted the files (and emptied the trash bin) that I downloaded from madhatter yesterday just so there would be NO MM files on the HD. I restarted and still couldnt delete those files from my reg.I'll bet thats whats screwing my ability to play music. My photos My Videos
Bolas 5 #31 March 28, 2008 It won't let you delete files from the registry? Strange... Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

jtval 0 #34 March 28, 2008 LOL.... This is driving me crazy. It is possible that I forgot to click DO NOT install that POS but I am fairly positive that I opted out of that option each time. In any case why the hell can't I remove it? WTF! My photos My Videos

madhatter 0 #39 March 30, 2008 How can the musicmatch entry not be deletable? Something doesn't make sense... Did you check all active processes to make sure no mm-related stuff might prevent the delete? Having a bit of a rough weekend, but will try to do some digiging my side to see if we can get you tuned up again A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! I deleted the program after each install. I thought installing/deleting the program would take those reg entries with it.My photos My Videos
madhatter 0 #41 March 31, 2008 OK, I haven't had a good look around yet, but read through htis thread again carefully. In regedit, did you use the f3 'find next' function to find ALL entries for to yahoo, musicmatch AND mmjb? There'll be multiple entries for each still lying there & any one of them could be buggering you around...A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! madhatter 0 #42 March 31, 2008 Further to cleaning the registry, you might want to use the advice in the following link beforehand:http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2007/08/07/musicmatch-plus-problem-solution-maybe/ Hopefully you'll then be able to get MM working again after a reinstall. Found this solution to prevent nagware: You can get rid of Yahoo’s “Upgrade” nag screen by renaming “C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH Jukebox\offers.mmc” to “Offersmmc.OFF” Hope this helps!A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! I Killed all of the Yahoo toolbar/MM stuff....except for the original files. They still won't delete. I'm gonna try to reboot and try again. My photos My Videos
