Baksteen 84 #2 March 31, 2008 I guess we all have these moments or, in my case, years. Tell us all about it. You'll feel better for it."That formation-stuff in freefall is just fun and games but with an open parachute it's starting to sound like, you know, an extreme sport." ~mom
Icon134 0 #3 March 31, 2008 Well... it's just that last week I got in trouble for not wanting to be a well paid (and well educated) pizza delivery guy... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
LisaM 0 #4 March 31, 2008 I agree. In the past 2 weeks, I worked one day. Was on vacation then managed to end up with pneumonia so I was on bedrest. Yes, I'd rather be sick with pneumonia than work on the ick project. Good thing other projects piled up while I was away so I can continue to avoid the ick project! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? happythoughts 0 #5 March 31, 2008 I think that everyone goes through a phase in their 20s where a job is interesting. You learn new stuff and when you master it, you get new challenges. Unlimited growth and potential. Eventually, it reaches a plateau and becomes repetitive. Once all things are equal and static, office politics and butt-kissing kick in. I hate politics worse than anything. It's not fun, but I rarely get paid for fun, so I do it.

Muenkel 0 #7 March 31, 2008 This August will be 5 years since I worked. I cannot wait to get back to working. Funny how you forget about all the negative aspects when you've been away from it so long. _________________________________________ Chris
