bigway 4 #1 April 2, 2008 Is there a way i can send movies from my PC to my PS3 and on to my TV? At the moment i do it through dvi-hdmi directly to my tv. I am wondering if i can do it wireless through my pc and ps3? So i can sit back and watch all the videos on my pc through my PS3? IS this possible? If so, could someone explain what i need to look for? Thanks. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
bigway 4 #2 April 2, 2008 Just figured out how to do it and it is so much better than watching the videos on my computer on my to my tv via a 10ft long DVI-HDMI head and a shitty 3.5mm headphone to rca plug!! So now with it streaming to the PS3 then it is on a 1 metre HDMI-HDMI plug with digital optical audio to my surround sound. One question though... does the playstation 'upscale' media from the media server or does it only 'upscale' dvds? Whatever it is doing i am so stoked to figure out i could do this. I cant believe it streams so fast either!! Damn, what else can i do with all this digital technology in my house? I feel like i have just discovered the next thing after the mobile phone .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Morrison79 0 #4 April 2, 2008 I have a X-box 360 and you can stream audio and video but it gets sorda laggy on the video. I went out a bought a Portable hard drive. Just put your movies or music on it and plug it into the PS3. A co-worker of mine has a PS3 and he also uses a Portable Hard drive. The only problem I have found is that it wont read a hardrive 500GB and larger

Morrison79 0 #7 April 2, 2008 Maybe I should try again. The strange part about mine is when I use my Portable Hard-drive most of my video files are in AVI type of format and they play with no problem. But when I try to stream it it will not recognize the AVI format and says something along the lines of "its not compatible" I may be doing something wrong though
