millertimeunc 0 #26 April 5, 2008 I'm over the initial shock of being told "no" on my favorite sport, and after the first 2 days here, I can see that they're front-loading the course and feeding us from a fire hose, so I've got bigger things to worry about than not jumping. It's only 2 months of no skydiving, and then I've got 3 months to crank out as many jumps as I can before UPT starts. Meanwhile, I think I'll be hitting up the wind tunnel on the weekends. On the plus side, about 2 hours of class time yesterday was devoted to "wing loading and its effects." The best things in life are dangerous.
BikerBabe 0 #27 April 5, 2008 QuoteHigh risk worksheet is pretty much a standard now. Are you still in? ACC had it I'm in AETC now but my job is skydiving so I won't have to fill one out for jumping. I'll do one for other activities. EDIT: PACAF had one ,too. AFMC = you fly a desk. i highly doubt they're on the "high risk form" bandwagon yet. unless they are on one of their kicks where they try to prove that they are real soldiers too and try to make everyone act "operational". You should have seen it when they tried to make the SPOs do PT programs. HAHAHA. Working in AFMC is like working at Boeing. 9-5, emails and power point all day, tons of stupid contracting regs. Yes. it's sad. Why do you think i left? lol! I joined the AF to see the world and work with planes. I ended up seeing a computer screen and working with...civilians.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! Meux 0 #29 April 7, 2008 I'd trade places with you. You can jump and I'll fly those cool planes. Enjoy, and remember that trim is your friend. Mo

If so, (if I were you), I would not risk incurring an injury that may/may not screw w/ UPT. Just a thought. Jump after UPT is over!Good Luck!!
