Somehow, the appeal is different.

If the target audience is squealing 13 yo girls, then the 19yo guy with the latest hairstyle and clothes is cool. When the 19yo looks into the eyes of the front row and uses the words "my heart" twice in every line, the squeals begin.

Twenty years later, when the guy is 38, the squeal becomes "Ooooh... creepy".

How can they get away with calling themselves the "New Kids on the Block?"

Would not the "Cresting the Hill Guys on the Block" be better?

Or the "Midlife Crises in the Pshrink's Office?"

Know what else is back? Mister Men and Little Miss books. Saw a whole display of them at BN last week. I used to read those. I think they're on cartoon network too.

Hey, Darryl Hall is making a comeback. One of the most underappreciated talents by the public. But in the musician crowd I hung out with years ago in LA, the cat was highly respected.

I think the target audience has aged 20 years as well...

I'm interested to see what their new stuff sounds like, and if they still dance. I Then it was NKOTB. Went to 3 concerts, painted NKOTB shirts with puffy paint, had a life-sized poster, the works. Then it was *NSync. I'm about ready for a new boy band to fill the void. Or an old one to make a comeback.

I've heard of them too, but it looks like they play their own instruments. I generally go for the boy bands who dance instead.
