Broke 0 #6 April 14, 2008 Actually the reason I was asking is because I recently discovered it was banned by the FDA in the use of diet suppliments in the 80's. One of the problems it was reported to cause was bowel obstruction. Of course the reason I had decided to do research on said substance was because I started taking a product that claimed to be a detoxification routine. I have since discontinued taking the product because I had a distended abdomin and was having difficulty voiding. Needless to say a couple of days later, and now there is no pain and I am a ok. Just a word of advise stay away from Evercleanse.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192

dannydan 5 #9 April 14, 2008 Quote I just don't like them going bad in my fridge I know right? Gets pretty expensive pretty damn quik! I have found that eating more fruit and veggies vs what we typically eat as Americans, three or less meals a day such as meat, potatos, etc costs just about the same! I can eat a serving of f/v every couple of hours (5-8xs a day) with water or shakes or java, and still pay less daily vs our typical habit... try this for your lowers, minimum 2day into a third if ya can hackit, f/v diet like I discribed and see how ya feel afterwards! water inbetween and along with if needed! Just dont "drown" yrself! Oh yes we can literally drown out our bodies with too much h2o intake!!! Not only have you started a natural detox, but you are preping your inarwds for a five dayhttp://www.nspresearchnutrition.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=20&category_id=9&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26 FASTING effort to truely kickstart a total body clense and detoxafacation... RastaRicanAir 0 #10 April 14, 2008 From http://www.webmd.com/search/search_results/default.aspx?query=guar%20gum&sourceType=undefined Guar Gum. Also known as guar, guar flour, and jaguar gum, guar gum is a dietary fiber obtained from the Indian cluster bean. Guar gum has been commonly used in small amounts as a thickening agent for foods and medications. It has been noted to decrease appetite by providing a "feeling of fullness." However, like glucomannan, guar gum may cause obstruction of the esophagus. The water-retaining capacity of the gum permits it to swell to 10- to 20-fold and has led to gastrointestinal obstructions. Reviews of multiple studies show it has no effect on weight loss.OrFunV/LocoBoca Rodriguez/Sonic Grieco/Muff Brother #4411 -"and ladies....messin with Robbie is venturing into territory you cant even imagine!-cuz Robbie is

Upon further research there is no mention of the product evercleanse on the FDA web site despite the fact that on www.evercleanse.com they claim to have FDA inspected production facilities. If there is goverment involved there is paperwork, and a mountain of it. If you know where to look you can find it all. They claim that the labs are independent. So of course the FDA wouldn't mention the product ... because the labs aren't affiliated with the company. Clever, these marketers. If you can prove that the stuff made you sick ... you personally might have a claim but class action might be stretching it a bit. Sounds like this stuff is just an overpriced version of Metamucil."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Broke 0 #19 April 15, 2008 Well if you look they market it as a detoxifing product specifically, so it is therefore approved be the FDA because it has not been banned for use as such... very cleaver. Unfortunatly because I hate doctors and hospitals I was able to take care of my obstruction it wasn't pretty but I did it, so I have no evidance, but another search shows up many unsatisfied customers.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. wv_girl 0 #24 April 15, 2008 QuoteWell if you look they market it as a detoxifing product specifically, so it is therefore approved be the FDA because it has not been banned for use as such... very cleaver. Actually, this product is categorized as a weight loss supplement. Because of that, they are not required to have FDA approval. By law, manufactuers and distributors are only required to explain to the FDA why they believe the ingredient is reasonably expected to be safe for use in a dietary supplement. They are not required to show any proof. That is why you see mandatory disclaimers stating "this product has not been approved by the FDA" on infomercials. Check out http://vm.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/ds-oview.html. It is the governments overview of dietary supplements. The only way a lawsuit would be successful is if this product could be proven to have caused a death. There are three types of people in this world; those that can count and those that can't.
