UK and skyhook

hey peeps.. Im in the process of getting my rig.. i wana get the skyhook for my vector3 ..do all riggers in the uk know how to maintain the system and repack it? Just wondered if its a standard thing?

Not sure what the trade standard is for riggers in the UK, but US FAA rated riggers go by the manufacturers instructions how to pack the skyhook is in the users manual under reserve packing instructions.

Skyhook is easy to pack if you have a copy of the Skyhook supplement or the latest version of the Vector III/Micron/Sigma packing manual, all available on-line.
Insist on your rigger having a copy of one of those manuals before he touches your Skyhook.

mine was packed by Chris Lynch in Headcorn and he had no problem. Does not seems to be such a big issue. It does not look complicated on the instruction and the colour-code helps.

Advanced packers are expected to be up to date on any new kit and how to pack it. Their only hurting their own business if they dont know how to pack a type of rig.

Afaik the advanced packing course clears you to pack any type of main/reserve (except tandems).
