skydivermom 0 #1 April 21, 2008 I am in college to become an interpreter for the deaf, and we are currently working on a group project in my Deaf Community class. The projects include a presentation (in front of class) and a written paper. My group is reporting on deaf sports, and of course my part is skydiving. Yesterday I made a jump with my two very good deaf friends, Brian and Jonathan. Wendy Faulkner took awesome video, and it will be my visual aide for the project. Man, I never imagined I would SKYDIVE for a grade! It was great to be able to enjoy two of my passions at the same time. Thanks Brian and Jonathan...and special thanks to Wendy for the nice video!Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:

skydivermom 0 #5 April 21, 2008 Thanks grannyinthesky. We're doing the presentations next Monday...and I hope I don't choke up. It's been 15 years since I've gotten up in front of a class. But then I have jumped out of an airplane a few times since then....so I guess there is no excuse.Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:

When you can jump out of an airplane, you know you can face your fears and conquer them. I have to run a 3 day conference for about 160 of my peers this coming week and I understand being a little nervous myself. I am going to keep being a skydiver with all it means to me firmly in mind. We'll both do just fine. "safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490

grannyinthesky 0 #8 April 21, 2008 Thanks for the welcome. It has been an incredible ride so far. It would be nice if I had found skydiving when I was younger, but at least I did get here. It has truly changed my life in ways that i never expected."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490
