LouDiamond 1 #3 April 22, 2008 All good suggestions but to get the most bang for your buck in the shortest time possible, get on the tour bus that cruises around the entire city to all the attractions. It's like 10 euros but you get a pretty good map and ear phones to listen to the narration in english or most other spoken languages. You can also get off any where along the line and walk around/site see and then get back on the next bus to come along which is about every 20 minutes give or take. It's a whole day thing and well worth it. Make sure to ride both the red and blue lines and don't be afraid to get down and walk around and see the less popular places. Expect big lines at the popular stop like Sangrada Famillia and other Gaudi buildings but nothing too bad as far as wait times. You will see more riding the bus than if you walk or drive yourself. Also make sure you have dinner at 7 portales, it is by far one of the best culinary experiences you can have and at decent prices(Don't let the atmosphere fool you into thinking it's too expensive a place to eat, it's not)"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
skymama 37 #4 April 22, 2008 If you like chocolate, ckeck out the Chocolate Museum for a treat of liquid chocolate. It was fabulous. My son made sure he got every drop! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

skymama 37 #6 April 22, 2008 I wanted to go to that, but the kids were with me. They got quite an eyeful as it was in the Picasso museum. They didn't really enjoy his ink drawings. LouDiamond 1 #7 April 22, 2008 The Picasso museum was always jam packed and had lines from hell. Unless you are a die hard Picasso fan and HAVE to see his stuff I'd pass on even trying to get in to it, there are plenty more interesting things to see in the area. The Erotica museum is on Las Ramblas. We passed by it and it is a small doorway that leads to an upstairs flat. It isn't what comes to mind when one thinks museum, it appeared to be more of a novelty from the outside. If thats what you want to see it would be cheaper/free to go into the adult porn store further down the Ramblas. Las Ramblas really isn't that great either IMO, it's just a novelty. If you are in that area, the open air market is worth walking around and seeing/sampling some of the fresh produce they have there in great abundance. With only one day to see the town, I can't recommend the Bus tour enough, you pretty much see and learn about everything of interest in Barcelona. take an umbrella or rain jacket as it is about that time there now and it does get chilly."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
