airdvr 210 #1 April 28, 2008 I got this through a friend... I was at a fund raiser on Friday night and was seated next to the Commandant of the MD State Police and learned something new. Apparently, MD is one of the few states that has a special task force to nab fugitives at airports. The passenger manifests of outgoing and incoming flights are provided to the MSP for a check on their computers for outstanding warrants. If it is a hit, you are met at the gate. Another guest at the table had a client that was wanted on a failure to appear warrant for a speeding ticket and flew to California (where she lived--family was here) and flew out of IAD upon the recommendation of her attorney . So there you have it, for passengers departing/arriving and maybe transiting BWI, if you have a warrant out for your arrest, they will likely catch you!Please don't dent the planet.
