SARLDO 0 #3 April 29, 2008 Although I have not been out to the airport yet, I have not heard of any damage that far south in Suffolk or up by West Point. Pretty much trashed some very nice homes on one of my favorite golf courses though. I feel for you folks in tornado alley who put up with F2+ twisters as a part of life. Scary shit!"Always do right. sriddy 0 #4 April 29, 2008 I have a few friends that work for Suffolk Fire. They were pretty busy yesterday. Actually, one of them sold a house in Driver (really small Suffolk community) last year. Yesterday, the country store next door was flattened.
SimonBones 1 #5 April 29, 2008 The tornado ripped though my back yard. My place is miraculously unaffected but many of my neighbors houses are destroyed. I still have no electricity and many of the roads are still shut down. I'm walked to a local coffee shop and am hanging out here for a bit for some internet access. The sound of the tornado last night was crazy! After it was gone I grabbed my camera and snapped a lot of photos of some really terrible stuff. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
sriddy 0 #6 April 29, 2008 Glad to hear the cleanup for you personally doesn't involve your house. Really sucks for your neighbors though. Sorry to hear about all that.
