DARK 0 #2 May 2, 2008 assuming your not 7.5ft tall then you are very overweight(again assuming its not all muscle) do you not think its a good thing to have this major incentive to lose weight? im only guessing here(im a noob) but you would need to find a place with around a 550sqft tandem main and reserve and a very big harness
Conundrum 1 #3 May 2, 2008 I'm assuming this is a troll post, but if not, just keep losing weight and hopefully one day you will be low enough to make a jump. Good luck.
BillyVance 35 #4 May 2, 2008 I apologize in advance for the barb, but it's not everyday I see a 400 lb "happy guy". But kudos for trying to lose the weight. You do need to drop another 100 lbs for sure. 150 just to be accepted at more DZs.... KevinMcGuire 0 #5 May 3, 2008 Do, or do not. There is no try. Be the person you want to be. Life is short. Don't waste the limited time you have being some one you don't want to be. Good luck. Then again, luck has nothing to do with it. Make it happen. I look forward to seeing you at the DZ. K

grannyinthesky 0 #7 May 3, 2008 Wanting to skydive is a great motivator. Losing enough weight takes time, but it is soooooooo worth it, for skydiving and your health in general. You have time. I just started learning to skydive and I'm 57 years young. "safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! " ~~jmy POPS #10490

JohnMitchell 16 #9 May 4, 2008 Liposuction? The tanks and cars are rigged up on pallets and stuff for the static line drops. They have no reserve chute. Definitely not a jump I would want to make. Hey, every sport has its safety limits and requirements. They could build a chute that would be safe and legal for you, but it would be pretty expensive. Also, at your weight, your chances of getting hurt on any given jump go way up.
BIGUN 1,483 #10 May 4, 2008 Even as an advocate for Anvil Brothers; you need to continue to lose weight to become a student. Unlike a cargo drop, there are many physical skills and skills of agility required to learn skydiving. Skydiving is also about goals. Your first goal should be to reach a minimum of 260 lbs.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
