5000 mile race this winter anyone

I just read an article in my magizine I get from the SCCA, and there was an article about a 5000 mile race in the winter. It starts in Seattle, and ends in the Artic Circle. Who wants to be on my team? I'll figure out the vehicle and everythign else later

I actually sent my lady friend to the store today for some "Mystic Mountain Blueberry" cuz it sure is delicious...she apparently couldn't find any...but damn if she didn't make me a label and hand it to me. It quenched my thirst after a lovely meal of Taco bell and Dominoes...

Unfortinately the race is only once every 4 years. It is called the Alcon challenge but I can't find anything on google.

Hey I was pretty excited about the idea of a long distance race, so I looked up more info. Its actually called the Alcan 5000! google should turn up some good info. I believe this is the main page:

It seems the entry fee for a single vehicle and 2 man teams is almost $3000, almost all the teams entering are factory sponsored teams. We should find one that is free to enter, or just make the run ourselves.
