tigra 0 #1 May 7, 2008 Anyone want to check in?? Looks like Jaye hasn't started a new thread in a couple of weeks! Last week, I was down 2 pounds but last night I was up 1- that leaves me 10 to go by July 4- totally do-able if I can resist the sweets and french fries! Better news is that I'm really seeing a difference in muscle tone and noticing a difference at the gym in terms of what I can lift, etc. I'm happy with that! I worked legs on my own Monday night (plus cardio) and last night was mostly upper body with the trainer and we did a little boxing. My arms felt like they were going to fall off by the time we were done but that hardly ever happens. right? I've got a Zumba class tonight and I hope to get some lower body and abs in before the class.
RALFFERS 0 #2 May 7, 2008 Been up since 3, at the gym by 6 - worked out for a little over 2 hours. Did mostly abs; going back this afternoon to work on legs & arms with the trainer. Noticing more & more tone; my 6-pack is coming back after my few weeks off. As far as improvements?...I don't note anything really besides for the improvements in my arch. mmmm........why can't Chicago have a tunnel?? That's alright though - I can't wait for Colorado in August! tigra 0 #3 May 7, 2008 So the spill you took last night didn't have any lasting effects? Good to hear. And wow- I think my 3-5 days a week mixing cardio and strength training is "dedicated" but 2 workouts in one day pretty much trumps that!
sunshine 2 #4 May 7, 2008 I was kinda slacking the last 2 weeks and only made it to the gym 2-3 times each week. I was busy working on a huge project for school. As of this week though i'm back on track. Worked out mon & tues. Tonight i have a final at school, so no working out. But today is my last day of school til august. yay!!! ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
tigra 0 #5 May 7, 2008 Well, its kind of cool that ONLY 2-3 times a week feels like slacking, isn't it?

I still feel pain, but it's only bad if I touch the area. I'm scheduling x-rays today just to make sure all is well. As for the 2 workouts in 1 day - I've never done that before, but i was too tired this morning to finish up; + my trainer has me scheduled for today, and I've already been enough of a pain in the ass as far as rescheduling, so don't want to do it again.Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of
tigra 0 #7 May 7, 2008 Just be careful. I'm sure you know your own limits but training that hard on a day you're making arrangements for an X-ray doesn't seem right.
ACMESkydiver 0 #8 May 7, 2008 Hey! Thanks for starting the thread! I was thinking about it yesterday and dang it if I didn't forget!! Sorry but I was having some life-challenges the past 2 weeks and my workout habit was horrrrrible. I think the last I worked out (before yesterday) was April 24th or so. Yesterday evening I did a one hour cardio lift class whilest the Sprouty was wrestling (yea!!! ) and I felt GREAT. Today, I went in and did my lower body workout plus a little extra, which took me about an hour. Didn't do any cardio, but if I'm lucky, I might go back in later on tonight and do an ab class as well and then finish off with some cardio (I need to make up for the 2 weeks! My eating habits sucked too; that stupid downward spiral kicking in. But it's ok, as of today I'm doing very well with the eating and back into working out again. Yippee! Back on track. Thanks for posting, T!!! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
tigra 0 #9 May 7, 2008 No problem! And I totally get the life challenges, but you're back on track now. Don't over due and give yourself more challenges, OK? When my trainer told me I gained a pound, all I could think about was the BBQ pork sandwich and fries I had had for lunch earlier. I KNEW it was a bad idea on a "weigh in" day, but it was soooooo good! Sometimes you just need to indulge!
NWFlyer 2 #10 May 7, 2008 I love that Sprouty is wrestling! That's so cool! After a bout with what seemed like a minor cold last week that spiked my heart rate every time I tried to work out, I'm back to good solid workouts this week and back to thoughtful eating and sticking to my food plan. Feels good. Actually saw the scale budge a couple pounds this week. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. MrFreefall383 0 #12 May 8, 2008 Been staying fit like the badass Coastie I am. Got out of Basic on the 25th of April, been ITing myself almost every morning and evening. This morning I did 75 pushups, 100 crunches, 75 squats, and 75 flutterkicks. I might do a similar number tonight, and I think I'm going to run tomorrow afternoon. Got in damn good shape in Basic, can't let it go to waste right before reporting to my first unit."If at first you don't succeed... well, so much for skydiving." - aviation cliche
