BillyVance 35 #1 May 8, 2008 I watched it last night. Different group of people, not TAPS. So it was interesting to see a different way of doing things, and I wondered why there are certain things that I never see on TAPS' video footage. This hotel, in Nevada, made the list of scariest places in America, for good reason. http://www.legendsofamerica.com/NV-GoldfieldHotel.html There are more than a few specters that haunt the place, most of them benign or sad, but one or two that are shall I say, malevolent. This was one of the more tenser shows I've seen. One portion, in room 109, where it's said that Elizabeth, a prostitute impregnated by the hotel's builder/owner, was chained to the radiator in, and died during or after childbirth, manifests herself from time to time looking for her baby, which was dumped down an abandoned mine shaft that the hotel sits on. The guy running the team sat down in that room with a camera and tried to talk to Elizabeth, telling her that he knows the story and wants to talk to her. And then as clear as day, you see a good sized orb of light come down to his right hand and follow the right arm down to the elbow, and continue across his leg, as if she was stroking him. He felt cold, but calm. Then later in another room, a couple guys were just about to enter it when they caught a brick get picked up and thrown across the room. Scared the fuck out of them! Whatever was in there did not want them in there. Scary shit. There were also shadows and figures caught on film that I could see. downwardspiral 0 #2 May 8, 2008 Do you believe in that stuff? Recently there was a video out of Mexico of a flying human. It looked like a silhoette of a witch riding a broom. Stuff like this is just oo easy to fake for me not to be skeptical. ESPECIALLY when its a weekly show. Who invests in a show that is likely not going to come up with enough material to be entertaining week in and week out?www.FourWheelerHB.com
BillyVance 35 #3 May 8, 2008 I believe there is something out there. I have seen enough fucked up shit caught on tape that could not be debunked by experts who analyzed video footage and found them undoctored. In the other site the team did, I forgot where, but one guy was setting up his equipment and you could clearly see that his body was solid and blocked out a light on the other side of the room when he walked in front of it, then just as soon as he gets out of camera sight, you could see a grayish apparition, clearly shaped like a person, start walking across the room toward the guy, and the apparition dimmed that same light for an instant when it passed in front of it. Experts declared it authentic."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
mamajumps 0 #4 May 8, 2008 I believe in the paranormal & ghosts 200%. Ive always wanted to go an authentic ghost hunt... My grandfather died in 99 and I can still sense him in my grandmas house. The stairwell in her house is completely sealed off, door at the bottom & at the top. More than once going up the stairs I have noticed a cold draft pass me, when both top and bottom doors were shut. This is an old farm house that does not have a/c... cant use that for an explanation. I have had several other first hand experiences. I want to visit the Stanley Hotel in CO, where the shining was filmed. Supposed to be one of the most haunted sites in America.
SpeedRacer 1 #5 May 8, 2008 how come you dont see these convincing videos on YouTube? If you do a search for "ghosts" you get some pretty lame, obviously fake or hopelessly unclear crap. BillyVance 35 #6 May 8, 2008 Quotehow come you dont see these convincing videos on YouTube? If you do a search for "ghosts" you get some pretty lame, obviously fake or hopelessly unclear crap. I would guess that what you see on youtube are just amatuers who don't know what they are doing. What you see as shown on the documentaries or TAPS episodes as it were, have been gathered using specialized equipment. Stuff that I would love to have. You hear stuff (EVPs) on audio equipment that you didn't hear when you were taping, and see stuff on video or digital stills that you didn't see with your own eyes, and then not to mention certain objects that fly across the room without warning, and the electromagnetic sensors that measure the activity, which when it spikes in a certain area, could show a spirit trying to manifest. I see this a lot on TAPS. Most of the time they debunk it to unprotected wires or badly installed/protected fuse boxes, but some of the few times they couldn't explain it, they leave it as unexplained. The TAPS guys are pretty good at being skeptical, but they have had their share of actual encounters."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
downwardspiral 0 #7 May 8, 2008 That's just it. Do you believe David Blaine can levitate or David Copperfield can fly? I don't yet if a person were to film them doing so and then have the film analyzed by experts, the experts can easily say the film had not been altered in any way therefore it must be authentic.www.FourWheelerHB.com
