MagicGuy 0 #1 May 10, 2008 There's a couple songs on YouTube that I'd like to copy to an MP3 so I can listen to it without being on YouTube. Anyone know how I would go about doing such a thing? I'm on a Mac if that makes a difference. Much appreciated!
jcd11235 0 #2 May 10, 2008 Did you try here? Edit: I just downloaded and tried Media Snap. It works well enough, but so far the conversions have all been 64 kbs. It seems a little buggy (instead of sending files to Desktop, it sends them to my Home folder and names them Desktop.mp3) but usable, provided sound quality is not a high priority (if it is, youtube's not a good source).Math tutoring available. jcd11235 0 #4 May 11, 2008 Quoteflv.2 works just fine. http://flvto.com/ It's been giving me incorrect time (length) on the two tracks I tested (shows over an hour for single songs). The bit rate is also pretty low, below 64 kbs, but that may be what the audio bit rate of the YouTube file actually is.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! DSE 5 #5 May 11, 2008 but that may be what the audio bit rate of the YouTube file actually is. It is AFAIK. If you're expecting to get stellar audio quality from a YouTube music video...it won't meet your expectations.

I typically don't download files from YouTube. It's the time thing that bugs me, but I'm probably just OC that way.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! MagicGuy 0 #7 May 11, 2008 I tried Media Snap (thanks HW) but for some reason, it just won't even open up for me. I don't know if my software is too old or something, but I can't get the program to even start up. I'll have to try that other program. Thanks for the suggestions. DSE 5 #8 May 11, 2008 Bear in mind that the time is related to your download/upload speed.
