iluvtofly 0 #1 May 11, 2008 They're in the middle of showing the trilogy on USA. I love these movies. And despite the fact that I still can't believe they actually made another one I'll probably still go see it.
 vskydiver 0 #2 May 11, 2008 Oh! I saw your post and turned the TV on. Wow! He was really young back then huh? I used to go to a Rheumatologist that looked just like him. Imagine being examined by Harrison Ford. He's 60 and I think he still looks pretty damn hot.
 vskydiver 0 #4 May 11, 2008 Yes but I wonder how he'd look up close and in real life. How much of that is air brushing and camera angles? But even still, he does look good! Why is it that guys get better looking when they get older and women just get old. My roommate is apparently determined to watch sections of every movie on tv and flip through every channel at least 20 times every hour.Got tired of it and decided to come say hi. Haven't seen this movie in forever. Kinda forgot just how good it is.
 iluvtofly 0 #9 May 12, 2008 This is what I love about holidays...all the good movies are on tv. And seeing as how it's been a slow day at work I've gotten to watch them all. First all 3 Indiana Jones, then Saving Private Ryan, now Forrest Gump. And the thing is that if I wasn't working I wouldn't have gotten to see all these cause I don't have cable at home.
 NWFlyer 2 #10 May 12, 2008 I wasn't watching it on TV, but I pulled out my DVD set and just watched Temple of Doom for the very first time since I saw it in the theater when it first came out 24 years ago. It was like watching a brand-new movie, I remembered that little of it. I've seen Raiders a bazillion times and have re-watched Last Crusade a few times too, but I'd never come back to the much-maligned middle child. Revisited... I think we (myself included) were all a little harsh on Temple of Doom. This movie does not suck. On its own merits it's a pretty damn good movie. Yeah, it has a few weak spots, and no, it's not as tight end-to-end as Raiders was. It probably got judged so harshly because it suffered in comparison to Raiders. But I liked it. But I'm going to try my hardest not to go out and buy them all. Although I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to. Must restrain self...must hold back...damn this sucks.
 NWFlyer 2 #12 May 12, 2008 Again? Are they doing some special edition to make people who already have DVDs feel like they need to buy another copy? Or is this one of those new-fangled high-def DVDs that I don't have yet? But I don't have them and I'd really like a copy of each but like I said I'm going to do my best to behave and not buy them.
