SpeedRacer 1 #1 May 8, 2008 Do these terms refer to what muscular guys have (ie, pecs) or to what fat guys have? or both? Please don't post any pics in this thread. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

idrankwhat 0 #6 May 8, 2008 I don't think that comments on a man-rack are typically considered a desirable thing.
tigra 0 #7 May 8, 2008 Even if it is from muscles, I don't want a guy with more cleavage than me! The main difference between manboobs from fat and man boobs from muscle is that some of the fat guys could use a bra (or a BRO!)
AggieDave 6 #8 May 8, 2008 Fat guys, not fit guys, unless they juiced it up to get "fit" and developed real boobs. Muenkel 0 #12 May 10, 2008 I forget where I read this, but I've heard this is true. Moobs are most commonly found on men who used to work out regularly and did develop their pecs. After a long period of working out, the muscle tone disappears causing moobs to appear. _________________________________________ Chris
AggieDave 6 #13 May 11, 2008 Meh, moobs are just fat deposits, some of those myths about working out then getting man boobs is directly related to 'roid use.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Muenkel 0 #14 May 12, 2008 I just noticed that I made a boo boo in my last sentence. QuoteAfter a long period of working out, the muscle tone disappears causing moobs to appear. I should have said that if guys have worked out for a long period of time developing pecs, then give up for a while; moobs will appear due to the loss of the muscle tone in the pecs. _________________________________________ Chris

Nope. its all about fat cells or development due to drug use (or some other hormone imbalance). Muscle comes or goes, just like anywhere else in the body. The body burns the spare muscle for fuel quite efficiently and quickly when its not being used anymore. That's an old myth propagated by pencil neck guys.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Well, you've pretty much nailed it both ways.I haven't lifted seriously in a few years now, so I've gone from stocky guy that lifted heavy things to overweight guy that has the body for swooping and not 4-way(read: overweight).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Hey Chubs, Unfortunately I'm not the pencil neck you think I am. I haven't mentioned this on dz.com before because well, I've been embarassed. Since my accident almost 5 years ago, I gained between 75-80lbs. The good news now is that I have lost approx. 45 of those lbs. and am still losing. I have just about 30 more lbs and I will be that pencil neck again...and it will feel good! According to my calculations, this should happen sometime late September. _________________________________________ Chris
