Surprised at the hostility here. I think his quality control's been a bit uneven - and in general it's been on the decline since The 6th Sense, although I still think both that and Unbreakable are brilliant.

But he's still more interesting than 90% of directors out there - and I'm really hoping The Happening will be a return to form.
