Changing departure date after buying through Travelocity?

Has anyone had any success with changing their flight plans AFTER already buying their tickets through travelocity?

I got a killer rate on our tickets, but now the function's dates got changed to the next week, and I'm stuck. I haven't called and tried yet, but my woman has and it was cheaper to buy a one way ticket home than to pay the costs.

Anyone have any positive advice here?

A few years ago I had received custody of my little brother and needed to get an extra ticket for him. There were no seats left on the original flight and they charged me 50 bucks to change dates and times. I think it was suppose to be 100 dollars to make changes.

I had success in canceling a hotel room with them. It took about 90 minutes and talking to two supervisors.

You should be able to change your flight. You'll have to pay the airline fees that are charged, though. That is usually $75-100.

Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

When I got stuck in Texas, it was cheaper to buy a one way ticket home than to change the flight.

I think it was a couple months ago on here that somebody had a hell of a time with Travelocity on the same issue and posted updates on his attempts to rectify the situation. Damned if I can remember who it was. Try searching "Travelocity" in The Bonfire.
