Icon134 0 #1 May 15, 2008 I don't want to offend all of the international posters... but although I'm taking the day off tomorrow I thought at least some of you might be interested in knowing that tomorrow (Friday, 16 May 2008) is National Bike-to-Work day here in the US. I guess it happens the third friday in the month of may every year... I know in the Dayton Area there will be a free pancake breakfast at the 2nd Street Market in Downtown Dayton... from 6:30-9:00 AM... you might see if there is something in your area... So dust off your bicycles and ride it to work tomorrow... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
BillyVance 35 #2 May 15, 2008 Considering that I haven't ridden my bike in years and that I will be doing about 130 miles worth of driving on the job tomorrow, I think I'll pass. ifall 0 #12 May 15, 2008 As much as 35 miles on a bike would be good for me and all I am going to pass I think. But shortly when I move a LOT closer to work that will be an everyday that it is possible occurrence.
lawrocket 3 #13 May 15, 2008 A nice thought, but: 1) I have court tomorrow; 2) It's supposed to be 101 degrees 3) Court is 8 miles away; 4) I have a wedding to go to at 5:00; 5) The court has no shower facilities; and 6) My suit should look at least SOMEWHAT nice... Tomorrow is a pretty unworkable day. That's the inconvenient truth My wife is hotter than your wife.

simplyputsi 0 #20 May 15, 2008 Quote and Paul... you need to move somewhere you can bike to work without your car getting stolen... Yeah, working on it, trust me. Problem then is i'll be moving out farther probably, so that'll make my 12 mile roundtrip bike turn into a 40 + mile round trip bike. Totally capable of doing it, we'll see.Skymama's #2 stalker -

McBeth 0 #24 May 15, 2008 Sorry to say that is completely impossible for me. Biking over the Bay Bridge is not my idea of a good time! I will either work from home tomorrow or take public transit though.
murrays 0 #25 May 15, 2008 Thank-you for bringing this to my attention and giving me some motivation to start riding my bike again. I don't know if this is recognized up here in Canada but the kids don't have any activities after school that I have to pick them up from tomorrow so I am going to ride my bike tomorrow. I have a nice ride of about 25 leisurely minutes almost all on bike trails. Cheers, Murray
